A través de un comunicado, la Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor (Profeco), ante la escasez de productos para cuidar la higiene personal, orienta a los consumidores con la elaboración de la Tecnología Doméstica Gel antibacterial (alcohol en gel). Esto con el objetivo de cuidar la economía familiar a través de ésta tecnología, permite a las personas un ahorro de más del 40%, respecto del producto comercial.
Para su elaboración se requieren de aproximadamente 15 minutos, así como los siguientes ingredientes y utensilios:
Ingredientes:
6 cucharadas de alcohol etílico (etanol al 72%) (Se consigue en farmacia) [90 mL, aproximadamente]
¾ cdita de carbopol (Se consigue en droguerías)
¼ cdita de glicerina pura/ 1.125 ml (Se consigue en cualquier farmacia)
¼ de cdita de trietanolamina aproximadamente (Se consigue en droguerías)
Utensilios:
Tazón de vidrio con capacidad de 1 L
Colador de malla fina
Flanera o recipiente chico de vidrio
Agitador de globo
Envase de plástico con tapa de botón a presión con capacidad de 100 mL
El procedimiento a seguir consta de los siguientes pasos:
Coloque el colador de malla fina sobre una flanera o recipiente chico de vidrio, vierta el carbopol sobre el colador y deshaga los grumos con ayuda de una cucharita a fin de pulverizarlo completamente.
Vierta el alcohol en el tazón y agite con el globo fuertemente mientras agrega poco a poco el carbopol.
Agregue la glicerina mientras agita suavemente con el globo.
Cuando se haya disuelto por completo el carbopol y no se aprecien grumos, agregue la trietanolamina, mientras agita suavemente. En ese momento se formará el gel.
Vierta el alcohol en gel en la botella de plástico y tape firmemente.
Forma de uso:
Entre las indicaciones para uso del gel antibacterial, se deben lavar las manos utilizando agua y jabón líquido, frotándolas por lo menos durante 20 segundos. Enseguida enjuagar, secar y aplicarlo. Utilizado de esta manera dará la mejor protección frente a bacterias, mohos y virus.
De usarse en la calle, aplicarse sobre una palma y luego frotar las manos, cubriendo principalmente ambas palmas y yemas de los dedos. Hay que dejar secar sin agitar las manos.
Para la conservación del gel antibacterial, la Profeco recomienda mantenerlo en un lugar fresco y seco, para evitar la evaporación del alcohol, que es el ingrediente germicida.
